The programme offers practical fintech experience to 40 Bahraini trainees, nurturing local talent.

Mr Salah Al Awadhi emphasised its role in equipping youth, aligning with Bahrain’s Vision 2030.
"Masar" enhances skills and confidence essential for entering the dynamic, global fintech industry.
BENEFIT, Bahrain's prominent FinTech enterprise that's been causing quite a stir in the digital finance sector, has officially kicked off the fourth run of its successful internship programme, "Masar". With 40 keen Bahraini trainees set to dive straight into hands-on FinTech experiences, this year's edition promises to further open doors for local youths into an increasingly dynamic sector.
Now, "Masar" isn't your bog-standard internship programme. It's geared specifically towards nurturing local talent and helping young Bahrainis hit the ground running when they enter the fintech industry. Participants receive practical training in cutting-edge financial tech, paired with hands-on workshops led by BENEFIT's seasoned pros—nothing like learning from folks who've been round the block a few times.
The programme remains open to both Bahraini uni students and BENEFIT's in-house family members, underlining a genuine commitment to fostering homegrown talent. Through this inclusive approach, trainees will have ample space to flex their creative muscles, work directly on authentic projects, and gain tangible insights that textbooks alone can't provide.
Chief Human Resources Officer at BENEFIT, Mr Salah Al Awadhi, explained it best: "We are pleased to launch the fourth edition of the Masar programme, building on the strong foundation and success of its previous cycles." He emphasised the importance of equipping Bahraini youth with specialised skills, noting this as central to Bahrain’s digital ambitions.
And it's no secret FinTech is rapidly becoming a pivotal part of Bahrain's journey towards becoming a knowledge-based economy, in line with Vision 2030. Al Awadhi added that the programme emphasises experiential learning and practical problem-solving, equipping young talent to handle real-world scenarios beyond the pages of their coursebooks.
Chatting casually with colleagues from Arageek recently, most agreed that internships such as Masar are not-to-miss opportunities; these training grounds don't just enrich CVs—they help build the essential confidence needed when entering such a rapidly evolving industry.
So, while fintech continues to reshape the way business is done globally, initiatives like BENEFIT's Masar play an essential role in prepping the Kingdom's future innovators. I'll certianly be following their progress closely.
