BKN301 secured $23,8 million to accelerate global expansion, especially into the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Investors like CDP Venture Capital SGR and Azimut Libera Impresa SGR participated in the funding.

CEO Stefano Mucchioli sees this as investor confidence in their scalable business model.

The fintech aims for a 36% CAGR in EBITDA by 2028, focusing on digital payment solutions.

BKN301's "BaaS Orchestrator" offers services like payment processing and AI-driven open banking.

The fintech firm BKN301, specialising in banking-as-a-service solutions (or BaaS, if you're one of the tech-savy folks), has announced it secured $23.8 million in a fresh funding round, aiming to boost its global expansion. Particularly, they're eyeing up the UAE and Saudi Arabia, clearly betting big on the Gulf after recently setting up their regional headquarters in Qatar.

Several significant investors chipped in during the funding round, including big hitters such as CDP Venture Capital SGR, Azimut Libera Impresa SGR, SIMEST and Alisei Forinvestments.

Stefano Mucchioli, BKN301's co-founder and CEO, highlighted this fresh capital raise as evidence of increasing confidence in the company's scalable business model. He pointed out that investors—both new backers and existing shareholders—are clearly liking what they see.

What caught my eye here—as I'm sure regular Arageek readers might relate to—is their ambitious growth outlook. The company aims to pull off an impressive 36% compound annual growth rate (or CAGR, as the finance types love to say) for their EBITDA by 2028. To achieve this, BKN301 plans to deliver smooth, flexible digital payment and financial services solutions catering equally to end-users and business clients alike.

The firm's platform, dubbed "BaaS Orchestrator," throws together a mix of core banking infrastructure services, payment processing, digital wallets, card issuing, API integration solutions, and cross-border payments. On top of that, BKN301 is tapping into open banking, incorporating integrations powered by artificial intelligence and generative AI—quite the package, no doubt.

With this hefty financial backing tucked safely in its pocket and an expanding foothold in the Middle East, BKN301 seems well positioned to make its mark globally. Certainly one to watch going forward, I'd say.
