Presight has joined forces with the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) in a move aimed at sharpening the UAE’s edge in artificial intelligence and startup acceleration. The deal makes Presight an official partner of DWTC’s flagship events, GITEX GLOBAL and Expand North Star—two gatherings that never fail to stir the tech world into action.
The focus here is the Presight AI‑Startup Accelerator, which bills itself as the UAE’s first dedicated AI scaling programme. The partnership will use DWTC’s global platform to help founders gain access to infrastructure, mentorship, and investment that might otherwise be a bit of a faff to secure. It’s a practical step, too: the accelerator’s debut cohort, unveiled last year, showcased ten startups building AI solutions for tangible, real‑world use.
Thomas Pramotedham, Presight’s CEO, was spot on when he described DWTC’s reach as “one of the world’s most powerful platforms for technology and startup engagement.” He added that the effort is about giving AI founders the tools and visibility to turn their bright ideas into reality—a line that, frankly, rings true across the region right now.
DWTC’s Executive Vice President, Trixie LohMirmand, echoed that sentiment, saying collaboration is the true driver of AI economies. She shared her optimism about widening access for tech entrepreneurs across markets, strengthening the UAE’s ongoing role as a bridge for innovation between continents.
This isn’t Presight’s first rodeo with collaboration. Earlier this year, the firm linked up with Microsoft and the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence to add even more technical depth and mentorship to its accelerator. I reckon such partnerships reflect how the UAE is positioning itself—not only as a flashy showcase of new tech but as a genuine builder of ecosystems where startups can thrive beyond the hype.
When I chatted with founders at previous GITEX gatherings (you know, those corridors buzzing with caffeine and ambition), many said that getting in front of the right investors was half the battle. So a programme like this, backed by DWTC’s networking power, could very well tip the balance.
Following the success of its first round, Presight will again be on display at Expand North Star, stand H8‑B110, inviting startups to explore what’s next. With DWTC in the mix, the accelerator now aims to broaden its international pool and, in turn, reinforce the UAE’s image as a serious global destination for applied AI innovation.
Presight, by the way, is listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange and operates under the G42 umbrella. It provides data analytics and AI solutions designed—for businesses and governments alike—to enable smarter decision‑making. And if nothing else, this tie‑up shows that progress here isn’t slowing down any time soon.
Well… unless you’re waiting for your flight out of Dubai on a Sunday night—that still takes forever, definately.
