Published jointly by PwC Middle East and the Healthcare Sector Transformation Programme, the new report entitled "Exploring New Horizons in Healthcare: A Strategic Guide to Generative AI in Saudi Arabia" lays out a clear roadmap for using AI to reshape the future of medical services in the kingdom.

As Saudi Arabia strides purposefully towards the targets outlined in Vision 2030, implementing generative AI technologies is expected to make the healthcare system more flexible, efficient, and distinctly patient-centred.

Right alongside these lofty aspirations, Abdulqader Hamdan Al-Muin, digital transformation adviser at the Healthcare Sector Transformation Programme, noted that the programme is fully focused on creating a future for healthcare that's accessible, efficient, and prevention-oriented. Deploying generative AI and other advanced technologies, he added, would help set a global benchmark for healthcare quality—not just improving immediate patient outcomes, but setting a gold standard for other nations to follow.
