Barn’s Brews New Horizons: Expands to Oman and UAE with Al Daud Deal

2 min
Barn’s is partnering with Al Daud Group to expand into Oman and the UAE.
With over 870 outlets in Saudi Arabia, Barn’s will offer cafés, drive-thrus, and express branches.
Barn’s aims to capture vibrant coffee cultures in cities like Muscat and Dubai.
The expansion aligns with Saudi Arabia's push to elevate local brands globally.
Such ventures inspire future entrepreneurs by demonstrating the potential of regional growth.
Saudi coffee brand barn’s is spreading its wings beyond the Kingdom, signing a new franchise deal with Oman’s Al Daud Group to bring its distinctive cafés to both Oman and the UAE. It’s quite a leap for a brand that started with small drive‑thru kiosks back in 1992 and now counts more than 870 outlets across Saudi Arabia. Personally, I reckon that sort of growth doesn’t happen by chance—it’s what you get when great coffee meets proper consistency.
The new partnership paves the way for several formats—full‑service cafés, drive‑thrus and express branches—to pop up across the two countries. Barn’s, known for pairing convenience with a cosy Saudi touch, clearly has its eyes on cities with a strong coffee culture, from Muscat to Dubai. And believe it or not, the regional coffee scene has become so lively that local brands are starting to give the big international chains a bit of a run for their money.
Engineer Mohammed Al Zain, barn’s CEO, described the expansion as a milestone that brings a “complete Saudi experience” to new markets, while Rashid Daud, who will lead the franchise rollout, said he was thrilled to introduce a home‑grown success story to new communities. Their enthusiasm sounds spot on—after all, coffee in this part of the world is practically a ritual as much as a drink.
From what I’ve seen in similar rollouts across the Gulf, entering two markets at once can be a bit of a faff, but barn’s has done its homework. Its model—fast service without cutting corners—should appeal to commuters and café enthusiasts alike. This move also fits nicely with Saudi Arabia’s current push to champion local brands abroad, showing how home‑grown ventures can scale regionally while staying authentic.
It’s always encouraging, especially for us at **Arageek**, to see such examples of Saudi entrepreneurship turning ambition into action. Every time a MENA startup or brand expands beyond its borders, it tells the next generation that growth isn’t just a dream—it’s doable. And yes, coffee might not save the world, but it can definately fuel a lot of great ideas along the way.
